The European DAC7 Directive requires online platforms such as Shopopop to collect and transmit the tax details of co-transporters and the amount of money they receive.
This applies to all co-transporters who receive income from the Shopopop application, provided they are resident in a Member State of the European Union.
The DAC7 directive requires you to make an annual declaration. Every January, your information is sent to the tax authorities about your earnings for the previous year. For example, your information relating to the calendar year 2025 will be sent to the authorities in January 2026.
If you do not enter your tax number in your Shopopop profile, you will soon no longer be able to make bank transfers from your Shopopop wallet.
Where can I find my tax number?
Depending on your country of residence, the tax number can be found on various documents, such as your identity card, driving licence or a specific administrative document.
